The West Central Railway Hospital has 125 beds and offers multi-speciality treatments for patients and railwaymen. We expect to increase the treatment capacity up to 250 beds once our new hospital building, which is under construction, becomes operational.
We currently have one ECG Technician at the West Central Railway Hospital. However, as per recommendations of a committee of three CMOs, the ideal strength should be one ECG technician per 100 beds and an additional ECG technician for the OPD where the bed strength is 250 or more. Also, the leave policy should be taken into consideration wherein 25% of the working posts can avail leave at any given time.
Hence, the hospital needs two additional ECG technicians to satisfy the current and future need at the hospital.
